Our story
Hello, & welcome.
I'm Lee, and Moose Mill is my workshop. We're all about woodworking and custom CNC: getting our hands dirty, working with wood, and making awesome stuff.
Moose Mill was born in the foothills of the Rockies, outside Calgary. These days the shop is in Edmonton, where the prairie gives way to the boreal forest. It's real moose country, and the mountains still find their way into everything we make.
We also like to capture the whole process with videos, photos and the occasional rant on the journal. So if you're someone who enjoys the smell of sawdust and needs a break from the online hustle, you've come to the right spot.

Why we do it
Built for a lifetime, not a season.
Too much furniture today is made to be thrown away. We'd rather build pieces from real, solid wood that can be used hard, repaired, refinished and passed down.
We're big on sharing knowledge and nurturing creativity, which is why we've taken our passion to YouTube. It's not just about making beautiful woodwork. It's about being part of a community of like-minded folks who appreciate the hard work and artistry behind every piece.
How it's made
Every piece, the slow way.
Because everything is handmade, small imperfections happen, and they're part of the character. Natural variation in the wood means no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Step 1
Hand-selected
Every piece begins with wood we choose by hand for its quality, character and grain, often reclaimed from barns and old structures.

Step 2
Shaped & sanded
Each stage, from milling to final sanding, is done with care and precision until the surface is velvety smooth.

Step 3
Finished by hand
We hand-apply food-safe oils and waxes for a buttery finish that's as pleasing to touch as it is to look at.

Step 4
Branded & signed
Finished pieces carry the Moose Mill mark: our promise of quality and authenticity.
